What I found changed my life, and I believe my dharma is to share this power and passion with others as a coach, yoga instructor, and meditation teacher.

My Story

Like many people, I struggled to answer life's fundamental questions. I became a student of self-knowledge, studying and exploring the world’s wisdom traditions. That's when I learned to meditate. Through meditation, I discovered inner peace and was able to unpack every part of my being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Meditation opened the door to yoga, which deepened my self-awareness further. Growing up, I felt weak and lacked confidence. Martial arts training gave me the opportunity to build my strength and believe in myself. I continued my martial arts training as an adult, eventually becoming a first-degree black belt in To-Shin Do and a Jeet Kune Do instructor. I quickly discovered many parallels between meditating, yoga, and martial arts. When I infused these principles together, it transformed my life. For the first time, I felt empowered, strong, capable, and more fulfilled.

I furthered my training in meditation and yoga by becoming a certified Primordial Sound Meditation teacher and yoga instructor through Chopra Global (based on Deepak Chopra's integrative wellness teachings). I have taught meditation, yoga, and martial arts since 2006. Now, it’s my passion to share the life-enhancing teachings that yoga, meditation, and functional fitness can provide.


As for my personal and professional life, I grew up in a small town called Ellwood City, about an hour north of Pittsburgh, PA. I graduated from Westminster College with a degree in theater. I then made my way to Orlando, Florida, where I've worked for over 30 years in various roles at Walt Disney World. During this time, my wife and I have led wellness programs and yoga sessions at various corporations and a Fortune 100 company. I am also the author of two books, Warrior of Light and The Path To Stillness. I love helping my students discover new concepts and experience shifts in consciousness.

Yoga

Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, enveloping all layers of your being to come together as one. Yoga is a way to find balance and harmony in life. The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga is Deepak Chopra's approach to weaving The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success into yoga practice.
For me, yoga became a path to liberation, and I'm dedicated to helping others experience the same type of freedom.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is yoga's sister science and is one of the world's oldest holistic healing practices, with 3,000-year-old roots stretching back to ancient India. Ayurveda is based on balancing your daily rhythms of nutrition, rest, physical care, and mental wellness. The practice focuses on promoting complete mind-body well-being health to prevent imbalance and avoid disease.

Vedic Counseling

Vedic counseling is a consciousness-based approach to holistic well-being. It provides life guidance on the right living, right action, right relationships, and right awareness. Vedic counseling encourages us to align ourselves with our deeper spiritual nature and the laws of the universe to help promote well-being, happiness, fulfillment, and spiritual awakening.

Martial Arts and Functional Fitness

Functional fitness concentrates on movements for daily living that will help you move and act from a place of strength, balance, and flexibility. Based on Bruce Lee's fitness program and martial arts training, Jeet Kune Do, functional movement, strength, and stability are a part of every class I teach.
